Agile Practices Research

PMI colleagues in the San Francisco Bay Area and San Diego Chapters are working on a collaborative research project that is examining emerging Agile trends in the workplace. Part of this work involves a pilot survey.  It is about thirty questions long (plus a few demographic questions at the end) and a copy of the survey results will be provided to all participants upon publication.

The link for the survey is: http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22CQL3UVWBZ/

As a bit of a "carrot," the collaboration team will be holding a drawing for a $150 Amazon gift card and expect the drawing to be held in late September.  Please participate and tell them about the enterprise Agile practices experience in your workplace!

PMI-ACP Certification: Candidates Can Now Schedule Exam

PMI is reporting that those who are interested may take the following steps in pursuit of the PMI-ACP:
  1. Open and complete an application online at PMI.org
  2. Submit an application for approval
  3. And as July 21st, candidates may also now schedule their examination. Just as a reminder, you will not be able to sit for the PMI-ACP examination until 15 September 2011. (Please note that Prometric test centers fill up quickly during the September, October and November months. To confirm the date desired, please schedule now.)
If you are a pilot participant, please remember not to miss the opportunity to participate in the rebate program. Why? Remember that you must apply, be approved by PMI, pay the certification fee, complete the audit process (if you are randomly selected), and take the examination by 30 November 2011 to be eligible for the 20% rebate. Each application takes up to two weeks to review and the audit can take up to three months. Thus, PMI encourages candidates to apply quickly, to ensure they are able to take advantage of the pilot discount offer.
